The PKR Masters is back in town

Saturday evening will see your latest chance to grab a share of $75,000 from the PKR kitty.

The PKR Masters is PKR’s biggest tournament and only comes around once a month. Satellites starting at $3.30 are already in full swing and offer players a great way to make the final table without having to stretch their bankroll.

In fact last month’s winner (floyd07) qualified through a satellite and then continued to go all the way, taking home an impressive $23,062.

And the good news is that this month’s payout is set to be even bigger!

$18,000 prize in PKR Masters

PKR have announced they will be giving away their largest ever cash prize when the PKR Masters tournament starts shortly.

The winner will receive at least $18,000 as a first prize although that may well increase depending on the number of players who enter.

Speaking of which, a Mega-Satellite for the PKR Masters will be held on Friday with a buy in of $30. PKR are guaranteeing 25 players from this satellite a seat in the final tournament and a shot at the big money.

If $30 sounds too much of a commitment for you, regular satellites have already started from as little $3.30

Phase tournaments hit PKR

PKR have introduced a new tournament structure which combine the convenience of Sit & Go’s with the big cash payouts of MTT’s … and they’re called Phase tournaments.

Phase tournaments consist of five levels with the buy-in starting at $3.60 for phase one and rising to $160.00 for the final phase. Players can join the tournament at any time they chose, although cash is only paid out after the final level.

If you finish at the top end of your level, then you get promoted to the next level. What’s great though is that even if you finish in the middle of the field, you get to give that same level another go for no additional cost!

Make it all the way to the top end of the fifth phase and you’ll be walking away with $700. You’ll get $200 just for finishing fourth.

It’s a great way for new players to get into online poker. And for those of you who aren’t signed up to PKR yet, check out our PKR Bonus Codes to ensure that you get yourself extra cash to play with.

See you at the tables!

Tony G does it for the kids

Outspoken Australian Tony G won the inaugral Moscow Millions tournament and then donated his $205,000 first prize to a local orphanage.

The tournament had initially been in doubt after it lost its sponosor Full Tilt earlier on in the year, but things ran incredibly smoothly:

“The structure was better than the World Series of Poker main event,” said Tony G. “We had two dealers at the final table, so that the next hand was shuffled and ready to go, and we had tons of hands at the final table.”

The Moscow Millions attracted 53 players including Rusian Alex Kravchenko who had won a bracelet at the World Series of Poker this year. He finally finished in third place collecting $77,000 for his troubles.
