PKR’s last WSOP offering

Those people still hoping to play in this year’s WSOP Main Event will have a final chance to win their seat in Vegas thanks to PKR this Sunday evening.

There are only two satellites left for Sunday’s Grand Final – and they will be played this Thursday and Saturday. Those players who want to buy into the final directly will be asked to pay $625 +$40 to be in with a chance of winning one of the 12 prize packages on offer. Each package will include travel to the WSOP in Vegas, accommodation during your stay and most importantly a $10,000 seat in the biggest poker tournament in history.

PKR announce WSOP qualifiers

It’s that time of year again! As thoughts and minds turn to the most prestigious poker tournament in the world, PKR have announced that they will be sending 12 players to Vegas to battle it out in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.

A seat in the Main Event usually commands a buy in fee of $10,000. However PKR are running a number of satellite tournaments meaning that players could get to battle it out with some of poker’s biggest names for as little as 35 cents.

And success is not as crazy as it seems – perhaps the most famous WSOP story from recent years saw Chris Moneymaker qualify from a similar satellite costing $39 and he ended up walking away with $2.5m first prize and a unique WSOP gold bracelet.

PKR are offering players a number of different routes to Vegas.

Mega satellite: (Saturday, 14 June)

Buy in will cost you $47.50,and there are at least 20 tickets to the Grand Final on the line worth $625 each – this one is going to be popular!

Freerolls

On the last Sunday of March, April and May, a total of 45 tickets to the Grand Final will be up for grabs. Get through both tournaments and you could be playing in the 2008 World Series for free! How cool is that?

On the road to LA

Time to blow the dust off your suitcase, wash your socks and buy yourself a new toothbrush. The PKR LA Poker Classic is back.

Three packages worth $12,500 are up for grabs. Each pack contains a $10,000 buy-in to the WPT LA Poker Classic and $2,500 to spend on whatever you feel like while you’re out there. $50,000 up for grabs

This is currently a monthly affair which is great news as it allows players plenty of opportunities to qualify for it  for as little as $2.18 or 3,250 PKR points. Alternatively, you can buy your way directly to the final stage for $100.

EPT Prague Grand Final

This Friday sees the culmination of PKR’s recent offer to give out four packages to the EPT tournament in Prague. Each package is worth over $9,000 and and gives each player a place in the lucrative tournament as well as flights out there and accomodation.
